Nicole Richie has revealed what a mischievous sense of humour she has.

The reality star turned fashion designer spoke to Extra TV about her life as a working mother-of-two.

She says that she sometimes has to come up with ideas to occupy herself while she waits for her husband Joel Madden and her toddlers to get up.

"I wake up between 5.30 and 6.00, while the rest of my family wakes up 7.00 to 7.30," she said on the schedule for herself and her two children; Harlow, three, and Sparrow, two.

"There's no one to bother me, but I do like to call my friends and wake them up. Or sometimes I'll draw on Joel's face. Mostly he's the butt of my jokes."

The 30-year-old also showed her comedic flair for Halloween when she dressed up like Jennifer Lopez.

"I sent it to her manager and he said that she loved it," Nicole revealed and added that she really looked like the Jenny From The Block singer because they are both "beautiful."

Nicole has recently inked a deal to launch a new clothing line on QVC. She already has successful collections; House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate.

She will also star as one of the judges on upcoming reality show Fashion Star which features Jessica Simpson as the host.
