(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nikki Reed's wedding dress boasted 100 diamond buttons.

The 23-year-old Twilight actress tied the knot with American Idol contestant Paul McDonald, 27, after just eight months of dating this weekend. She was keen to look special on her big day and collaborated on the unique gown with bridal jewellery brand Tacori.

The company also crafted the couple's engagement and wedding bands.

The final creation was an ivory white body-skimming dress with a "40s classic glamour silhouette," Michelle Adorjan from Tacori told Us Weekly. "It flows back into a 72-inch train, about six feet."

"It's extremely simple. The glamorous details are what Tacori brings to it. Instead of traditional, silk wrap buttons, we did diamond buttons!

"A little over 100 carats just on the buttons! But it's simple and beautiful."

Paul and Nikki got engaged in June after meeting at the Los Angeles premiere of Little Red Riding Hood in March.

"We fit each other," Paul gushed about his bride recently. "When you know, you know, and she's the one."

"We couldn't be happier!" Nikki told the magazine about the nuptials. "[We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We're so glad this day has come!" (C) Cover Media
