In a recent interview, Madhuri shared that actors are not horses running in a race. What's important is playing your character with all heart and how you reinvent yourself with your future films and keep on doing that.
The actress also says that times have changed now and actresses need to make more noise, promote their films, blow their own trumpet for people to take notice. Earlier there hardly use to be one or two events and news used to spread like fire, but now mass marketing has taken over due to the increase in the number of channels and the advent of new media methodologies.
