After being stalled for months, Rajini’s venture 'Rana' finally shows signs of coming back on track. 

Shooting began last year, but it was interrupted when superstar Rajini fell ill on the sets and had to be hospitalized for more than a month. "Rajni Sir has told me that he will start shooting for Rana immediately after Kochadaiyaan," confirmed K.S.Ravikumar, director of Rana, who is eager to re-start the shoot.

However, there is a twist in the tale.

Buzz is that Deepika Padukone, who was initially playing the leading lady in the film, is no more a part of the venture. "Deepika is already doing Kochadaiyaan with Rajni Sir. And we might not want to repeat the same pair immediately. But we will take the final call when the film’s shooting resumes," says Ravikumar.

Looks like for once Deepika might have to face dejection.
