One Direction's Niall discusses crazy' fans

23rd May 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - One Direction's Niall Horan sometimes sees "a bit too much" of overzealous fans.

The chart-topping boyband - comprising of Niall, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne - have just wrapped up promotional tours in the US, Australia and New Zealand for their hit album Up All Night.

The five-piece have been lavished with female attention on their travels, but Niall insists it's a bit too much too handle at times.

"You can see girls getting too excited and they start crying or worse. In a lot of these countries they don't get a lot of gigs to go to, so when they get to see their favourite artist they take full advantage of it. Obviously the excitement builds up too much for some on the night and they get a bit... crazy," he smirked in an interview with Digital Spy.

"Sometimes I've seen some stuff that's a bit too much! Also, sometimes they'll queue outside a venue for ages for us in the freezing cold. Queuing tips for fans: wrap up and bring food!"

Niall admits that despite the group's burgeoning fame, he still feels anxious before taking to the stage. The star has revealed how he combats such feelings.

"When we first started out the thought of getting up on stage freaked us all out. The kind of crowds we get are very, very loud which helps," he said.

"The bigger the crowd the better really! The noise calms your nerves." (C) Cover Media
