P. Diddy ditches partying for parks

27th January 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - P. Diddy admits he now spends more time walking in parks than partying.

The 41-year-old rapper is renowned for throwing lavish star-studded bashes and running wild until the early hours. However, the father-of-six claims his late nights are becoming less common now and he is spending more time relaxing with his family.

Diddy still likes to let loose every now and then, but insists he is more likely to be found watching television or exercising in his spare time.

The myth and the legend - it doesnt happen as much as it used to. I dont think people want me to have as many days on the couch, boring days, walking in the park or being with my kids, he said in an interview with British television show This Morning. But there are more of those days now than there is of me swinging from chandeliers and partying for weeks. It just happens once a month now!

Diddy real name Sean Combs has enjoyed a lengthy career in the music industry as both a rapper and producer. He has worked with a host of stars including The Notorious B.I.G., Usher, Faith Evans, Jimmy Page, Christina Aguilera and Nicole Scherzinger.

Although some people have criticised the number of collaborations he has released, Diddy insists working with other artists is the best way to introduce new fans to his music. His latest venture is the group Diddy-Dirty Money, in which he is accompanied by Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper.

I do use guest appearances as a way to ease people into getting into something that they would otherwise view as uncomfortable. Sometimes its a comfort thing its a way for us to collaborate as artists and do something different. And its also a way for people who have that one that they like to be able to get to the final destination. You know in a way it is true it is a way of compromising in a sense, but I think as long as it stays authentic with you wanting to work with somebody and having respect for somebody then I think its all good.
