Pamela Anderson has been cast to play the Virgin Mary.
The 44-year-old former Playboy Playmate will star in a Canadian comedy Christmas special, it was announced today.
Pamela will appear in A Russell Peters Christmas with the funnyman playing the role of her Biblical husband Joseph.
"Peters puts his own irreverent twist on the Christmas special," a statement from the CTV network read.
The show will also feature performances by Canadian singer Michael Bubl and comedian Job Lovitz.
The mother-of-two is known for her role on beach drama Baywatch and also for starring in two leaked sex tapes. One was with her ex-husband Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and the other with Poison frontman Bret Michaels.
Pamela spends a lot of her time now as a spokeswoman for animal rights group PETA and raising her teen boys; Brandon, 15, and Dylan, 13.
The special will air on December 1 and will be a mixture of comedy, musical performances and animation, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
