(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The man who tried to break into Paris Hilton's home last year has been sentenced to two years in a state prison.

Nathan Lee Parada was found guilty of first degree attempted residential burglary back in April and was sentenced in Los Angeles yesterday for his crime. It took less than an hour for a guilty verdict to be returned by the jury.

Parada was captured wielding a knife and staring into a window of the socialite's mansion by Hilton's boyfriend Cy Waits. Waits pulled a gun on him before he could get inside the property.

Parada was held by her security team until the police arrived.

Hilton announced last week that she and her Las Vegas club boss boyfriend, of over a year had split due to his possessive and jealous behaviour.

"We're not together anymore. I love him and we remain really good friends I feel like the relationship ran its course and we'll see what happens," she told talk show host George Lopez. (C) Cover Media
