(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Paris Hilton has described her boyfriend as a prankster after he pretended to have bought her a yellow Lexus car.

The socialite turns 30 today, and is being suitably spoilt by millionaire boyfriend Cy Waits, although the nightclub owner couldnt resist teasing Paris with a birthday hoax.

Paris was given a flashy Lexus LFA, although Cy originally let her think he had purchased one for her in a bright colour - before revealing a stunning white version of the $375,000 car.

My boyfriend is such a prankster. As a practical joke when he surprised me with the car. He first had them pull up a yellow Lexus. I was in shock! The car is amazing! But yellow! So not my style! Ha. Then he had the real present pulled up, the Lexus in a beautiful pearl white. :) (sic), wrote the star on social-networking site Twitter.

Jokes aside, Paris is overwhelmed by the gift, and is thrilled with her new motor, describing Cy as so generous and sweet.

Paris is in New York at the moment where she will be making some television appearances as well as hosting a birthday bash at hip restaurant and nightclub Lavo, a favourite in the celebrity circuit.

Just landed in New York! So excited to do The @WendyShow and David Letterman tomorrow night. Then celebrate my birthday at Lavo. Huge! (sic), she tweeted.

Paris has been determined to make her 30th birthday celebrations her biggest yet. She began the festivities on Tuesday evening when she threw a Moulin Rouge-themed party at the V-Moda fortress in the exclusive Hollywood Hills. Paris had a wonderful night in the company of parents Rick and Kathy, younger sister Nicky, 27 and Cy. The blonde beauty had two cakes one featuring a picture of herself and one which was multi-tiered in red and black. The swanky soiree also boasted a petting zoo which was a major highlight for animal lover Paris.

"Paris loved the animals and made sure that the handlers were humane before she worked with them," a source told E!. She asked a lot of questions about their care. (C) Cover Media
