(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Connelly agreed to sleep in an ice cave to please her family, but was horrified when she woke up to find her dog licking her face.

The actress raises son Kai, 13, and seven-year-old Stellan with her husband Paul Bettany, and is currently pregnant. Paul has a great sense of adventure and loves having bonding time with the boys, so all three were thrilled when a mammoth snow fall in New York left them able to fashion three huge caverns on their property.

They spent hours sculpting the caves which were all linked, and decided it would be exciting to sleep in them. Paul thought it would be fun for the family and their dog to sleep there one night but Jennifer, whos a bit claustrophobic, had other ideas, reports National Enquirer.

She woke up freezing at 3am with the pooch licking her face.

Jennifer was horrified at the situation she found herself in, and immediately gathered her things and returned inside. Once there the 40-year-old kicked back and relaxed in the warm, while her family snoozed happily outside. (C) Cover Media
