In the remembrance of Sridevi, family attends puja in Chennai

In the remembrance of Sridevi, Boney Kapoor along with daughters Janhvi, Khushi and brother Anil Kapoor attended puja in Chennai. Boney was clicked by the media while exiting the puja venue completely emotional and teary eyed. 

A close source reveals, "The puja took place on Thursday morning at her Mylapore bungalow among close friends and relatives."

While the late actress Sridevi's first death anniversary is falling on February 24th, 2019, this puja was performed as per tithi on the Hindu calendar. 

Also present were South superstars Rajinikanth, Ajith (with who Boney is making a film in Tamil), Politician Amar Singh, yesteryear superstar Vijayanthimala, actress Raveena Tandon, Indonesian TV Magnate Ram Punjabi, filmmakers Rajkumar Santoshi, Rumi Jaffrey, R. Balki and Gauri Shinde.

Sridevi, Bollywood's first female superstar, died at the age of 54 on February 24, 2018 due to accidental drowning in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai; leaving the film industry, family and fans aghast.

The actress began her acting career with a devotional film 'Thunaivan' when she was merely 4 and had worked across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi movies. She even received the National Award and Padma Shri for her contribution to the country's art and cinema.
