Pauly D is "working heavily on his album right now."

The Jersey Shore store signed a deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records last year.

Pauly is not rushing the project as he desires to deliver the best music he can produce to listeners.

"G-Unit's going great. I'm working heavily on my album right now, trying to lock down some producers, some artists," Pauly told MTV News.

"I'm taking my time with it. I really want it to be great. I want the album to show my personality, just like my DJing does."

Pauly is receiving a lot of support from 50 Cent and appreciates the hip-hop mogul's insight.

"50's a beast, man. He's so smart when it comes to business, and he's so talented," Pauly gushed. "Him and I just clicked the second we met, so it was great."

The Jersey Shore star joined Britney on her Femme Fatale tour last year and has DJed for Kim Kardashian.

Pauly's album does not yet have a release date.

His reality show The Pauly D Project currently airs Thursdays in the US on MTV.
