PeeCee's 'Pahuna' hailed at the German film festival

After premiering at TIFF [Toronto International Film Festival] Priyanka Chopra's production venture, the film is been admired at the European platform at the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience in Germany. 'Pahuna' won two awards at European Children's Film Award and got a special mention in the Awards of The Professional Jury Feature Film International category.

European premiere was held on October 2 and October 5. It won the awards on October 6. "Pahuna - The Little Visitors" showcases the journey of three Nepalese children who are separated from their home but surviving on their own they get back at the end.

This Sikkimese film is helmed by A Tyrewala and bankrolled by Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra under her Purple Pebble Pictures banner. Speaking about the film's success Madhu Chopra said "Pahuna...' will always be a very special film for all of us at Purple Pebble Pictures. When we started the journey of 'Pahuna...', we didn't anticipate the film to go this far. But God has been kind and the film has resonated with the audience not just in India but across the globe." 

She concluded saying, "I'm grateful to SCHLINGEL children's film festival for the recognition. We are looking forward to many more such milestones in our journey at Purple Pebble Pictures."
