(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Penelope Cruz has sparked pregnancy rumours by displaying a supposed baby bump on the set of her latest movie.

The actress was pictured in the West Indies on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides wearing a baggy pirate-style white top and waistcoat. The flowing clothes seemed to show the stars swelled stomach, causing speculation she may be in the early stages of pregnancy.

The 36-year-old star married actor Javier Bardem back in July, and it is thought the pair would like to start a family together.

Penelope has spoken of her desire to be a mother in the past, so the images have led many to believe she may well be expecting her first child.

When I [have babies], I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life. I believe in family, love and children, the actress said in a past interview.

Penelope is shooting the film alongside Hollywood star Johnny Depp, who reprises his part of Jack Sparrow for the fourth movie in the franchise.

It is the first time Penelope will appear in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, having made her name in movies such as Vanilla Sky and Nine. (C) Cover Media
