Pete Wentz to be a talent judge

27th January 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Pete Wentz plans to become a judge for unsigned artists.

The 31-year-old rose to fame following the release of his band Fall Out Boys debut album in 2003. Despite being the bassist, Pete has achieved industry respect for being the primary songwriter for the group.

With the band on an indefinite hiatus, Pete has revealed details on how he plans to spend his free time. The rocker will judge bands competing for a chance to play the Hard Rock Calling festival, held annually in Londons Hyde Park.

Along with judging, Pete will join Travie McCoy on a tour across North America where Pete will introduce fans to his new group Black Cards, which he formed last year. Speaking about his new project, Pete revealed he is apprehensive that fans will compare the band unfavourably with Fall Out Boy.

Yeah, I am definitely nervous and excited. It is strange that I am going back to play venues that I played before a long time ago and I am nervous, I get worried that people will think this is supposed to be some sort of replacement for Fall Out Boy, he revealed in a recent interview.
