India's most celebrated badminton player of our times Prakash Padukone is not alien to the pros and cons of stardom. Hence, he can completely understand his actress daughter Deepika Padukone's current state of living. 

He claims that she has always been independent but he is particularly proud about the fact that she has grown mature and responsible. 

"When she moved out she was only 18 and we were concerned about her. When your kids are with you, you don't give them responsibility but now she has become very responsible. Right now, she is very hard-working, focused and defines her own goals for herself. She is also emotional and balanced," said a proud father. 

However, he added that there is still scope for her to do better as a human being. 

"Sometimes, she gets angry and needs to be even more tolerant. But if she can control even that little intolerance, she will be even a better human being. She is old enough to understand and take the right decisions and I feel proud of her," he added. 

Deepika on the other end is elated on getting positive words from her father and confesses that she has inherited a lot from him. 

"He is someone who has always been very calm and is extremely patient and loves teaching and explaining. I have got my focus and discipline from him," said Deepika.
