After acting in two period movies - "Ponnar Sankar" and "Mambattiyan" - Prashanth is ready for a makeover. The actor will be part of three films soon and all of them will be contemporary subjects. 'Official announcements will be made soon,' he says.

The "Sembaruthi" and "Jeans" actor, who gained extra weight for his 'meaty' role in "Mambattiyan", has hit the gym and reduced 15 kilos in the past few months. 'This is to get my act right in my forthcoming projects,' he says.

Refusing to divulge any details about his films in the future, he says, 'I am not the right person for it. The respective directors and producers will do it. All that I can say is the details will be released very soon.'

On "Mambattiyan", he said, 'It was a tough task to recreate the magic of my father Thiagarajan, since he made the role extremely popular in the 1980s. But I felt happy when people said I have given my best to the role.'
