The Olympics 2012 was indeed a grand affair for India after MC Mary Kom came home with a bronze medal. The boxing champion has now become the face of our country and our Bollywood filmmakers want to make a movie that revolves around her life.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently announced that he will be producing a biopic on Mary's life which will be directed by well known art director Omung Kumar who worked in movies like 'Black' and 'Saawariya'.

The latest buzz is that the filmmakers are considering Priyanka Chopra to put on Mary Kom's gloves and play her role. Though Katrina Kaif is also in the reckoning, the makers are yet to confirm the main lead.

Priyanka will be reading the script and once she completes the same, a decision will be made.

When Omung was asked if the news is correct, here is what he had to say, "Right now, we don’t know anything about the casting. We aren’t sure if it’s going to be an established star or a new face. But whoever is the chosen one will have to go through training to pick up Mary’s style, body language and moves."

Piggy Chops shares a good rapport with Bhansali and Omung, so she might have an edge over her contemporaries. Guess, we'll just have to wait and watch until an official announcement is made by the team.
