The most popular filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has been in the limelight for many reasons, be it good or bad. This time the critically acclaimed director, who was charged for a rape case by actress and model Preeti Jain a few years ago, has been brought to light once again.

Apparently, it is heard that the Supreme Court has ended the charges against him as Preeti is no longer interested in pursuing the matter after nine years.

Surprisingly, Jain stated that Bhandarkar had a physical relationship with her for a few years, promising to cast her in a lead role in his film, which never happened.

Madhur clearly dismissed these rumours. Investigations were carried out and in 2011 the Maharashtra police said that the allegations against Bhandarkar were false.

We hope that the issue is put to rest completely, as the National award winning filmmaker sure has a good name to keep.
