An athelete at heart and an actor with passionate love for cinema, Rahul Bose turns 44 today. A brilliant actor who is named as a 'Superstar of Arthouse Cinema' for his work in parallel cinema, has garnered recognition worldwide.

Rahul was always a player in sports, from rugby to cricket and boxing too, he was trained by well-known people. He won a silver medal, competing with the Western India Championships and also is a former member of the National Orange Indian Rugby Team.

While he completed his studies, he went onto becoming a copy writer and his skills and talent later promoted him to an advertising director.

It was only after his film 'English, August', that he decided to let go of his other jobs and become a full time actor.

Bose is well recognised for his performance in 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects', 'Jhankar Beats' and 'Mr. and Mrs. Iyer'.

Besides being at athelete and an actor, Rahul is also a very notable social activist helping many N.G.O.'s and spreading awareness.
