He is the face of many brands and is loved by all. The Irish boy, Jonathan Rhys Meyers celebrates his birthday today as he turns 34.

He is best known for his roles in 'Velvet Goldmine', 'Mission Impossible III', 'Bend It Like Beckham', 'Match Point' and many more.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Jonathan was never a regular at school. He usually hung out at pool halls spending time with people. It was then when casting agents were looking out for an Irish to appear in their film 'War of the Button' when they spotted him. He was asked to audition and he got through, but the movie-makers convinced him to pursue a career in acting.

After that he never looked back, and build a road of fame and recognition for himself. Besides movies, he has also worked in television series 'Elvis', which earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor and also in the historical drama 'The Tudors'.
