By keeping the box office ringing with his films, Rajkumar Hirani's projects create eagerness among the audience.
Rumours of Hirani making a film on actor Sanjay Dutt's life has been in news for sometime now. And finally he has given a nod to it.
During the ongoing 17th MAMI film festival the filmmaker was heard saying, "We will start the Sanjay Dutt bio-pic next year. I am working on it presently. I was sceptical initially but when Abhijat (Joshi, his co-writer) and I sat with Sanjay for 25 days, we discovered that we want to narrate this story as it is a human story, an emotional story and it is a funny, entertaining story as well. It is a story about father-son, his friends, his world."
Asserting further more about the project he said, "My Sanjay Dutt bio-pic will not glorify him. We are narrating the story as is. I will always make an honest film. I take five years to make a film and I have made this film since it is a great story. Besides Sanjay we have met a lot of other people as well. I am a brutal man when it comes to writing scripts."
Meanwhile, he also broke good news for Sanjay's fans by announcing to work on the sequel of Munna Bhai series soon. "We are also working on the third part of Munna Bhai. After several years we have cracked an exciting idea. The third part of the film has to be better than the previous one. And now we have got a script of that calibre," concluded the filmmaker.
