Rajkummar Rao's 'Newton' makes it to the Berlin Film Festival

After Huma Qureshi's 'Viceroy's House' will be showcased at the Berlin Film Festival, Rajkummar Rao's 'Newton' has also marched its footsteps to the festival. The films based on black humor will be showcased in the 63rd International Berlin Film Festival in the 'International Forum of New Cinema' section.

'Newton' is directed by Amit V Masurkar and depicts the story in Newton's perspective. It is shot in dense forests of Chhattisgarh and shows Newton trying to conduct fair elections in the Maoist territory.

The actor lost his mother while shooting for the film but said that "It was difficult but with my mother's blessings we've made it to such a prestigious festival."

This is Rajkummar's second film to be showcased at the Berlin Film Festival besides 'Kai Po Che.' His girlfriend Patralekha shared a poster of his film while sharing the news.
