Ramcharan Teja got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Upasana Kamineni recently at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad.  As per traditions, the function was organized by the bride’s family.

A friend of Charan's says, 'This was a big event for all of us in Tollywood. It was like a big vacation for us, where all of us were looking forward to catching up with each other and being part of the couple's big day.'

The wedding is scheduled to take place early next year and Upasana, we hear, has already shown a lot of interest in Charan's career choices. What's more, the actor too consults her for everything, it seems!

Though the arrangements were very elaborate, only close friends and family members were invited to the engagement. However, a separate get-together at a later date will see friends of both the families in attendance. Both families performed a special puja on November 30th in the temple complex of the Jubilee Hills Apollo Hospital to bless the auspicious occasion.
