Soumya Bollapragada is yet to come out of a shock, for she woke up to a story in the newspapers which stated that her lover stabbed her. After reading the news, she realized that her photo was used for a different actress.

'This is bad on part of the media to mix up my photo with some other actress. Hope they publish a corrigendum. I am in no way related to that news,' she said.

Now coming to the actual incident, Soumya Gowda, 23, a Kannada film actor was stabbed by her 26-year-old lover, Rahul alias Anil in her house on Tuesday. Soumya has featured in films such as ‘Huduga Hudugi’, ‘Enanthiya’ and ‘Poorva’.

On 29th November noon, Anil stabbed Soumya 13 times. 'She was rushed to Baptist Hospital. Doctors said that she was out of danger,' says a report.

'But she needs to be under observation for three days. Her injuries are critical. If she was not brought in time, she would have died,' Dr Naveen Thomas of Baptist Hospital said.
