Bollywood Superstar, Ranbir Kapoor had confessed that he has been approached to play Sanjay Dutt in the biopic being made by Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. 

Citing the fact that Ranbir has been very close to Sanjay since his childhood, it was Sanju's wish that Ranbir plays him onscreen. And now if things turn out to be well, we hear that Ranbir might do another biopic soon. 

Following the herd, there's yet another biopic being made on another sports star of this country. While biopics have been made on Athlete Paan Singh Tomar, Milkha Singh and Boxer Mary Kom, the latest one planned with Ranbir Kapoor is a biopic on Indian Hockey Legend Dhyan Chand. 

Ila Bedi Dutta, who wrote 'Agneepath', is working on the final draft of the film's script. 

Reportedly, the team had earlier approached Shah Rukh Khan for the role, given his understanding and fondness for the sport. But due to reasons best known to them, the plan never materialised which is why we've been informed that they have now approached Ranbir Kapoor. 

"Ila is in the process of completing the script of the movie. The movie shoot will begin soon. Talks are going on for signing Ranbir Kapoor for the lead role," said Rajat Bedi, Ila's brother.
