Ranbir Kapoor was all set to witness the ‘God’ of Football Lionel Andres Messi playing live in a friendly match in Kolkata recently. But due to his prior commitments Ranbir had to unwillingly miss the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As fate would have it, Ranbir missed meeting his favorite soccer player but as they say what happens, happens for good and true to the saying Ranbir actually got a privileged opportunity to meet and greet his idol personally.

While Messi was in Kolkata, his management team heard a lot about Ranbir Kapoor and his fondness for Messi. After the team got back to Barcelona, they invited Ranbir to come for a team meet. Ranbir who at that point of time was luckily in Barcelona for a college reunion jumped at the opportunity and met his idol Messi. Like a true fan Ranbir got an autograph from Messi and even got himself clicked with him as it can be seen in the picture.
