It has been more or less confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor will play Sanjay Dutt in the biopic being made on the latter's life by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.

Though Ranbir hardly resembles Sanjay, they have been focusing more on revealing the realities of Sanjay's life via the movie. The latest update is that to acquire Sanjay-like chiseled physique, Ranbir has been asked to pile on some weight to look bulkier and muscular.

Though no date has been put on the film as yet, the grapevine has it that they are targeting a 2016 release.
