Bollywood's light eyed actress Rani Mukerji has been off the film circuit for quite some time now. But the actress is back with a bang with her film 'Mardaani', where she plays a hard hitting cop.

Rani who hasn't been promoting the film heavily, will be seen singing the National Anthem in a video that will be played in theatres. The actress who plays a crime branch officer in the film, will be seen in the company of real life female cops.

Rani was joined by women officers across ranks - right from top officials to the constables and the video features them all in uniform while Rani will be in plain dress.

Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar who has directed 'Mardaani', has shot this video and he is mighty impressed by the women in it.

"Shooting for the video was an exhilarating experience. The anthem itself gives you goosebumps and on top of that, when these women sing it all together, it makes one proud," he said.

The video will be played before the start of Salman Khan's film 'Kick' which releases this Friday.
