Rani Mukerji, riding high on success post 'No one Killed Jessica', reportedly refused a potential Vishal Bhardwaj film 'Daayan', due to her unwillingness to don a negative (witch's) role. Secondly, she didn't want to star alongside Emraan Hashmi. Post that, it was reported that Vishal was upset with Rani and there was a growing rift between two. Rani too was keen to work with Vishal, if not for the witchy character but now she has a golden opportunity to mend fences, as well as work with Vishal.
Just a few days back, it was announced that Vidya Balan is no longer a part of Vishal Bahrdwaj's next production and sequel to the hit caper 'Ishqiya'. The requirement of Vidya's character ends in the original and there would be two new girls who'll be romancing the leads Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah in the sequel. Rani these days is upbeat about this film and wants to bag the female lead role in it. Though nothing is confirmed yet, it is believed that Rani has already expressed her wish to star in 'Ishqiya's sequel to Vishal. it remains to be seen if Vishal will forget the past and cast Rani in the film or take revenge by ditching her.
