Highly acclaimed ad maker Pradeep Sarkar successfully ventured into filmmaking with the award winning film 'Parineeta' starring Vidya Balan. The film was highly praised for its superficial quality content.

Nonetheless, he was not that fortunate with his next films like 'Laaga chunari mein daag' and 'Lafangey Parindey'. Both the films, despite the huge hype and expectations, tanked at the box office.

However, the director is apparently yet again making an attempt to revive his career as he will reportedly soon roll out his next that will be produced under Yash Raj films. 

The film that will be helmed by Pradeep Sarkar will be his third with Yash Raj. But the bigger news here is, that the film may star banner's favorite, Rani Mukerji as its lead. 

If the talked about plans ever see the light of the day, this will be Rani and Pradeep's second film together.
