No relief for choreographer Geeta Kapoor. Bombay High Court rejected her petition of quashing the case filed against her for rash driving and injuring a person on March 12, 2015.
The Bollywood choreographer requested for an out of court settlement, however the victim Nisar Noormohammed approached the court.
Geeta's Advocate Sachin Shetye said,"We are seeking quashing by consent. Soon after the accident, Kapoor took the victim to Kokilaben Hospital and made sure that he was treated. The victim has suffered one fracture on his right knee. Kapoor has borne his medical expenses, which have summed up to Rs7 lakh. She has also given the victim a cheque for Rs3 lakh."
Victim's advocate Niranjan Mogre, also informed the court about the cheque being received by his client. However, Noormohammed is unhappy with the settlement amount.
He said, "I am an electrician. Since the accident I am sitting at home. I have two children to look after. The lady (Kapoor) has paid for my medical expenses but I am not satisfied."
The court has adjourned her petition for 2 weeks and within this period both the parties are suppose to have another meeting and decide on the final settlement.
