(Cover) - EN Star Style - Kelly Rowland's dramatic eye make-up secrets have been revealed.
The stunning singer is the epitome of LA glamour and is currently dazzling British audiences as a judge on The X Factor with her glamorous attire and ever-polished style.
Make-up artist Pixiewoo has revealed the top tips to recreate the former Destiny's child star's colourful make-up look.
The cosmetics expert says the focus of the look should be a dramatic eye, while the rest of the face should be kept simple.
"Because the eye is quite a strong focal point of the look it's best to keep the foundation quite light and dewy. A lot of people are scared of bold eye make-up but it is easy to perfect and looks amazing," she said. "If you keep everything else in your look natural, the eyes will really stand out. I used Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 for the base. If you're going to buy a tinted moisturiser, it's really important to buy one containing SPF as you don't have to wear one underneath."
Kelly is renowned for her glowing skin. Pixiewoo explained exactly where to apply concealer to best achieve this flawless look.
"I used Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer, which does the job and is easy on the purse strings. Apply it down the length of the nose, under the eye and anywhere you need a little bit more coverage. For the brows, I used Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer," she said.
Kelly has been rocking dramatic colours on her eyes of late. Pixiwoo says that the look is easy to achieve with the help of strong hues.
"To create a vibrant eye, I used MAC eyeshadow in Swimming, which is an eye-catching green with a slightly iridescent look. For the under-eye area I used the teal end of the Estee Lauder Eye Shadow Stick. For the lashes, I applied Eyeko Big Eye Mascara to frame the eyes. This product is budget-friendly and comes in a great tube, and even better, it prevents smudging," she explained.
Finally, to finish the look, the beauty pro explained which lip colours are a big hit this summer. The make-up expert says strong lipstick hues are great for creating a "striking" look to rival Kelly's.
"I chose Pixi Lip Booster in Pixie, a sheer orangey red. Colour glosses are essential for the summer because they can make the lips look really striking," she added. (C) Cover Media
