(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon has praised her wonderful boyfriend Jim Toth, saying their relationship works because they have different careers.
The actress began dating Hollywood agent Jim earlier this year, several months after her split from Jake Gyllenhaal. She is famously tight-lipped about her romantic life, but has now decided to speak out about Jim.
Before dating Jake, Reese was married to Ryan Phillippe, who she has two kids with. She has previously admitted getting divorced was one the hardest things she has ever gone through, and has now hinted shes made a conscious effort to avoid dating men who are actors.
I have a little perspective on this. I wouldnt say its easier, she said, when asked about the differences between dating a celebrity and someone who isnt famous. Every relationship has its own dynamic. And I dont want to disparage any of the other relationships that Ive had that were meaningful and wonderful. But what Im finding out is that its very comfortable to be with somebody who understands my career, but doesnt do what I do. Hes a great guy. Hes wonderful.
Reese has now dealt with the feelings of failure her divorce brought up, and just feels happy to have another chance at love. She wants anyone else going through a painful marriage breakdown to know things do get better, and being apart is better than being with someone who makes you unhappy.
I always say that its very important not to blame one person, she told the January edition of Glamour magazine. You have to own whatever part of it youre responsible for. It takes a lot of soul-searching. Its important to go through that, because hopefully you wont repeat yourself.
Reese is 34, and feels happier and more confident than ever. She has finally allowed herself to feel sexy, something which is totally unique for her. I think as a woman, you get older, you feel more confident in your sexuality. Youre not as intimidated by it, not as embarrassed by it. Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin, she said. (C) Cover Media
