Reese Witherspoon: Training made me confident

5th May 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Reese Witherspoon felt body confident enough to don scantily-clad costumes in her new film.

The Hollywood actress is currently starring in Water for Elephants alongside British actor Robert Pattinson. The stunning star appears in a number of lavish outfits in the movie for her role as circus performer Marlena.

Reese says she was able to wear the barely-there costumes because she noticed the results of her intense training regime in the run up to shooting.

Seriously, the only reason I was in those costumes is because I trained for five months, she explained on British television show This Morning. Ive spent my entire career avoiding being in a bathing suit on film. The only reason I feel comfortable is because I trained for five months.

The blonde beauty, 35, trained intensively for her most recent role. Reese put a great deal of effort into studying the art of various circus acts and even trained on an elephant for some of the movies most breathtaking scenes.

I did five months of training and I went to a circus school just to get used to the house and trapeze and things. Then I trained for three months on an elephant, for that routine, she added. (C) Cover Media
