Find out how intuitively 'Sui Dhaaga' logo was made

8th August 2018

There is finally a film promoting the government of India's 'Make in India' initiative and yes we are talking about Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer 'Sui Dhaaga'. The makers recently dropped the making video of its logo and how YRF Films stencil was sent to the not so famous embroidery professionals across India.

The stencil is passed on to Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and for the handloom stitching in Assam and many more. Every one of these artists have hand-stitched Sui Dhaaga's logo poster and Varun and Anushka just sit down to finalise one of the logos. Every one of the hand stitched design is creative and impeccable, truly alluring. In the end, it was difficult for Anushka and Varun to pick a final logo out of so many so the YRF team compiled each of the design and made a single logo poster.

It showcases the hidden talent treasured in the heart of India such as Mochi Bharat from Gujarat, Phool Patti from Uttar Pradesh, Zardozi work from Lucknow, Rajasthan's prominent crafts like Aari, Banjara and Gota Patti, Tamil Nadu's popular Toda style and Karnataka's Kasuti design. From the east of India, the film's logo has been made in Pipli style from Odisha and handloom work from Assam, Kantha stitch work from West Bengal is also enduring. Helmed by Sharat Kataria and produced by Maneesh Sharma, Sui Dhaaga will release on 28th September.
