Abhishek Bachchan's cameo in adman turned filmmaker R. Balki's upcoming film 'Shamitabh' is a surprise, quite literally! The cameo was not originally planned to be in the movie, but it was just the spur-of-the-moment decision taken by the film's team.

When they spotted Abhishek waiting to meet his father Amitabh Bachchan during the shoot of film at the Mumbai Airport, R Balki came up with the idea of using this footage as the cameo scene.

Abhishek had just landed from London and since he knew his father was shooting at the airport, he dropped by to meet him before heading home. Balki asked his team to shoot Abhishek, without disturbing him, as he wanted it be completely natural.

"Abhishek was sitting on a bench. We decided against disturbing him, so, I just asked my camera team to capture him. In the film, people will only be able to spot him. We told Abhishek that we had caught him on camera and that the scene would be part of the film. It was just done for fun, and I hope people like it," said Balki.
