October 21, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): No Ordinary Family has created much buzz in its first season and the storyline for the show is picking up pace pretty fast. The level of character development in the last couple of episodes has been superb and it continues to fascinate the audience.
The audience particularly loved the interaction between Jim and Stephanie and how the acquisition of superpowers has changed the dynamics of their marriage. During the previous episodes we did not notice much of chemistry between Jim and Stephanie. But now with Jims new vigilante antics we can see that Stephanie is really worried about her husbands well being.
On a more serious thought, the writers of No Ordinary Family should go low on the banter between the couple and emphasize more on their superpowers. JJ was particularly good on this episode, although his powers are not as prominent as that of others; he is slowly coming to terms with his own abilities.
Daphnes situation is quite understandable; a 16-year-old girl with mind reading capabilities is more likely to use it to enhance her social standing. Daphne also used her powers to buy alcohol for the party but she gets busted. It was good to see JJ stand up for his sister. Overall the family is coming together with every passing episode, now if only they would have more action scenes.
