Facing legal issues is becoming a norm of sorts for Bollywood bigwigs, especially when their film is on the verge of releasing. And when it comes to Ram Gopal Varma, the chances of his film attracting some or the other controversy always exists.
RGV is currently gearing up for the release of his film 'Department' that is slated to hit the theatres on May 18. However, the release has met a barrier as a screenplay-script writer Danish Raza has filed a police complaint against Ram Gopal Varma for using his script for the film and not paying him his dues for his work.
Budding writer Danish said that he was approached by RGV's team around June-July 2010 to write a script and work with them. "I met them they looked at some of my scripts, liked my work and asked me to start work on the film Department" he said.
Danish had sent the first draft of the script on July 19, 2010 which was finalized by them. He revealed that they delayed giving an official contract to him and later disconnected all contact completely. But when he saw the promos recently, he realized that his script was used without his knowledge. Danish claims of having all the evidence in form of mails and copies which he will present before the officials.
On the other hand, RGV shunned the allegations and exclaimed that he hasn't met any such sort of person.
It remains to be seen who finally wins the battle.
