Actress Richa Gangopadhyay received rave reviews for her role in the hit movie 'Mayakkam Enna' is on cloud 9. She is now appearing in another movie which is titled 'Osthi'.
Commenting on the success of her film, she said, “For me, 'Mayakkam Enna' is a landmark film and I have been getting a lot of positive feedback. I’m thankful to Selva sir and his team for bringing out the talent in me.”
According to sources, the actress was shooting for ‘Mayakkam Enna’ and ‘Osthi’ simultaneously. Now that her last release was a huge hit amongst the audiences what does she think about her next film?
“In ‘Osthi’, I play the role of a rustic village belle. It’s in sharp contrast to the role I played in 'Mayakkam Enna'. The character is similar to Sonakshi Sinha’s role in ‘Dabangg’. In fact, I had to gain some weight for ‘Osthi’. I had to shoot for both films back-to-back and it was hectic. However, I'm on cloud nine as ‘Mayakkam Enna’ was a huge hit at the box office”, says Richa.
Richa's 'Oshti' which is slated to release on 8th December, says that it is very different from 'Mayakkam'. ‘Osthi’ is a fun and fast-paced film, while 'Mayakkam' is a very intense subject. In ‘Osthi’, you will see me dancing and singing along with Simbu and it’s a commercial film" ,adds Richa.
