(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rihanna has revealed she got Katy Perry a really cool wedding present.

The Barbados-born singer is close friends with Katy and was disappointed when work commitments forced her to miss seeing her tie the knot with Russell Brand in India last weekend. To make up for her absence from the nuptials, Rihanna has splashed out on a great gift for her pal. However, the R&B beauty is refusing to give away any details about the package.

"I got her a really, really cool gift," Rihanna said. "But I'll let her tell you about that!"

Rihanna, who was expected to be Katys chief bridesmaid at the wedding, has been in constant contact with the 26-year-old star over the past week. Even though Rihanna has been sending Katy a string of text messages, it has been hard for Katy to reply because service coverage has been limited.

We've been texting each other, Rihanna added. "Ever since she's been there it's been no text messages because there's no service out there."

The 22-year-old music star was in New York City yesterday to promote her new self-titled photography book. She is thrilled with the images in the tome and has promised it will offer fans a unique insight into her career.

Rihanna loves flicking through the pages of the book as it allows her to re-visit some fond memories.

I think it was really special to have behind-the-scenes photos, you know, pictures that the fans haven't seen before, all together of a very specific moment of my life," Rihanna explained. "They just get to see all the things that they hadn't seen that were going on behind the scenes; really cool stuff, not typical.

They're really fun photos. And even for me, when I look at them, they say so much. Photos really tell a thousand words." (C) Cover Media
