Robert Downey Jr. gutted about film garb loss

23rd April 2012

Robert Downey Jr. is devastated he's "mis-located" a T-shirt he took from the Avengers Assemble set.

The actor portrays Tony Stark/ Iron Man in the movie. When his character isn't strapped into his superhero suit, he can usually be found rocking a Black Sabbath top. Robert became quite attached to the apparel while shooting, so decided to take it home.

"I walked off set with one of the Black Sabbath T-shirts. Do you know where I put it? Mis-located it, that's like misremembering," he laughed to Cover Media.

Avengers Assemble also stars Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo. It sees a group of superheroes team up to protect the world from an imminent invasion.

There are many action sequences in the release and Robert has joked about which moves his famously egotistical character probably liked the most.

"My favourite move? Tony's favourite move! Well you know, probably how I can fall out of buildings and survive because of my tech. You notice that fight move involves no one but me and my stuff!" he laughed.

Fan favourite Clark Gregg plays Agent Phil Coulson in the new movie and is delighted his character gets to see some action.

"Generally Agent Coulson's repertoire exists of only one thing, which is a snide retort. But in this movie he does what any sane human does when faced with this threat which is reaches for the largest gun you can possibly imagine," he laughed.

Avengers Assemble is released in the UK on April 26.
