Robert Downey Jr. loves working with his wife "every day".

The Academy Award-nominated actor is starring in upcoming spy action thriller Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

The actor's currently expectant wife Susan Downey worked as producer on the film.

Robert enjoyed partnering up professionally with Susan on the project.

"What I love most about the movie? I love [Susan] about it. I love that I get to go to work with her every day," Robert told Pop Tarts.

"And I think A Game of Shadows turned out better than the first movie and statistically it is highly unlikely that a sequel is ever better than the first one."

Robert wasn't always comfortable being on set with his wife.

When he dressed as a woman for one scene the actor felt Susan's eyes on him.

"I keep thinking, is my wife sitting behind the monitor and watching me cross dress on purpose?" he laughed.

All in all Robert is very happy with his life presently. His daily routine is inspiring.

"It's so easy in life to get caught up with the now I am in a good spot, now I am in a bad spot' but the thing is to turn it up to 110 degrees and stir slowly," Robert explained.

"I don't want to miss what is actually happening."

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is released worldwide from this month.
