(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robert Pattinson admitted he struggled to trust people shortly before Kristen Stewart's affair was revealed.

The British actor made the comments at a press event just a day before Kristen's illicit romance with married director Rupert Sanders was made public last month.

"[I] can't trust anyone," the actor explained. "I'm quite hypersensitive. Sometimes it makes it easier to stand your ground if you're sensitive."

Seemingly unaware his girlfriend had been unfaithful, he added he has always been surrounded by loyal and supportive people.

"No...," Robert replied when asked if he had ever been betrayed. "Never by people who are actually in my life, like who are my friends... No one's ever done anything, which is crazy."

Robert is likely to face questions about the relationship breakdown next week, when he appears on US TV shows Good Morning America and The Daily Show.

The 26-year-old actor is believed to have moved out of the home he shared with Kristen. However, there is speculation he is considering seeing her.

"She's begging for a meeting," a source told Life & Style. "I think he'll do it out of respect for their long relationship, even if it's to say, 'See ya, we're done.'" (C) Cover Media
