Not just his parents, but Ranbir Kapoor comes from a family of really famous personalities from Bollywood like- Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor decided to follow his parents' foot steps and went on to pursue method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institue in New York. 

Ranbir Kapoor started off his career in Bollywood as an assistant to Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his movie 'Black'. He made his debut alon with another debutante Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Anil Kapoor, in the movie 'Saawariya'. The movie did not do well but Ranbir's performance was noticed and he went on to do many good movies like 'Rajneeti' and 'Wake Up Sid'. 

Ranbir has been into the limelight for his professional as well as personal life. Ranbir's announcement of dating Deepika Padukone followed by a bitter break-up and Deepika lashing out at him through a popular chat show made rounds.
