(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rose Byrne feels that the movie Bridesmaids is "weirdly" realistic.

The 31-year-old Australian actress is one of the stars of the hugely successful comedy picture, which recounts the tale of an unlucky in love maid of honour and her disastrous attempts to help organise her best friend's wedding.

The film has been lauded for its hilarious scenes, and Rose believes that even though it's rooted in comedy there are still plenty of believable moments.

"The scene where they're getting fitted for the dresses and the Vegas scene are larger than life, but I feel they're weirdly grounded in reality," she told the British edition of OK! magazine.

"Women want female films that are funny and bawdy, where the women own it!"

Rose added that she isn't getting arrogant about her recent success. The star takes a pessimistic view towards her career, and has no plans to become complacent.

"Definitely. I operate on the assumption that I'll never work again after each job!" she laughed. (C) Cover Media
