(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rupert Grint checks his shoes for spiders on a daily basis as he's terrified of them.

The 22-year-old British actor is famous for his portrayal of wizard Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film franchise, whose concluding chapter Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hits cinemas next month.

Although Rupert embarks on a variety of valiant challenges in his role as Ron, he admits there is one thing he's terrified of in real life and it has a huge impact on his daily routine.

"I have arachnophobia. It's really affected my life. I check my shoes every time I put them on. I check my bed sheets and pillows," he confided to UK magazine Attitude, which goes on sale June 29.

Starring in one of the world's most successful film franchises has allowed Rupert and his co-stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe to travel extensively across the globe. That said, Rupert has still never been to Australia, as the country is famed for being home to an array of especially large spiders.

"I'm going to Australia in a few weeks. I've never been before. Spiders have always stopped me," he blushed. (C) Cover Media
