Russell Brand has reportedly claimed Katy Perry gave him "ache" during their marriage.

The couple recently became officially divorced after a 14-month union.

The British comedian has been shooting his new TV show Brand X with Russell Brand and shocked with an off-colour remark when he discovered a woman called Katy was in the audience.

"Anyway, enough of you, I've had enough ar*e-ache from people called Katy in the last year," he apparently said, after talking to the woman.

Russell reportedly appeared pleased with his jokey comment and couldn't help smiling. The star is known for his irreverent humour so it's thought the remark was not meant to offend.

"They were having some chat about whether Katy could satisfy her boyfriend in bed when, all of a sudden, Russell shouted the comment about ar*e-ache," said a cource. 

"It was a blatant reference to Katy Perry. The look on his face as he laughed after saying the comment said it all."

It is the first time Russell has made a negative remark about Katy since their split, although she has hinted his lack of interest in visiting her on tour caused the break-up.
