(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry and Russell Brand are reportedly set to star in a movie together.

The couple began dating last year, with Russell organising a romantic proposal while they were on holiday in India over New Year. Neither has spoken about their wedding plans, although it is rumoured they will tie the knot in an extravagant seven-day bash later this month.

Comedian Russell has been forging a career in Hollywood of late, starring in movies such as Get Him to the Greek and the re-make of classic Dudley Moore romp Arthur. The original hit screens in 1981, and it has now been claimed Russell is considering an adaptation of another classic film from that decade.

The British star and his fiance are in the running to play the lead roles in The Money Pit, which originally starred Tom Hanks and Shelley Long. Its about a couple whose home needs huge amounts of restoration work, and Russell is said to be keen to sign on. Russ is a big fan of Eighties comedy movies and loves the idea of updating The Money Pit, a source explained. The idea was originally to cast a big name actress for the female lead but the idea of having Katy in the movie might just work. She's very keen on starting an acting career.
