The 34-year-old Canadian actor topped the publications list of the hottest men in Hollywood for 2010. Ryan who is married to Scarlett Johansson - has set hearts racing all over the world with his toned physique and wry sense of humour. The star fended off stiff competition from stars including John Hamm and Kellan Lutz to claim the honour, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Hes Canadian (and proud of it), can make a mean omelette and his eight pack abs have caused millions to swoon, People magazine gushed when explaining why Ryan was given the title.

The blonde hunk has joked being named the worlds sexiest man is going to have a huge impact on his life. Ryan is already preparing himself for a barrage of teasing from his loved ones especially Scarlett but is so proud of the title he is determined to brag about it to as many people as possible.

This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life, he said. "Now it's going to be, 'Sexiest man, take out the garbage.' That does sound better. The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers."

Ryan admits he was surprised to be singled out this year, claiming he often feels like a skin-coloured whisper if he doesnt work out enough.

Other stars to appear on the annual list include singers Drake, Justin Timberlake and Jon Bon Jovi, as well as actors Robert Downey Jr., Vin Diesel, Jake Gyllenhaal and Matthew Morrison.
